Cable Coating Solutions for Enduring Protection and Precision

Innovations Driven Solutions

Withstanding cellulosic fires of 750°C for 90 minutes and Hydrocarbon fires of 1100°C for 90 minutes at a very low DFT, our cable coating sprays have excellent resistance to weathering and aging maintaining permanent flexibility to allow for cable movement and removal. Cable coating will prevent a short circuit within an electrical cable from starting a fire and will help identify the location of the short circuit by forming an intumescent char at the short circuit point. Our teams incorporate a crucial feature – a thickness testing sample. This forward-thinking approach not only facilitates thorough examination and assessment of coating thickness but also provides insurance companies with a tool to verify cable conformity to required standards.

Protective Coating FAQ’s

Cable coating involves applying a protective material to electrical cables, enhancing their resilience against environmental factors and potential hazards. This process aims to provide insulation and safeguard cables from risks like fire, moisture, chemicals, and physical damage, ensuring the safety and reliability of electrical systems.

Cable coatings are often engineered to withstand high temperatures, resist weathering, and maintain flexibility to accommodate cable movement. Some coatings may also possess intumescent properties, swelling during a fire to form a protective char layer and prevent the spread of flames.

Cable coatings play a crucial role in fire safety by preventing short circuits and containing the impact of fires. In the event of a fire, certain coatings can swell and form a protective layer, aiding in identifying the location of a short circuit.

Yes, many cable coatings are specifically designed for outdoor use, offering protection against UV degradation and other environmental challenges.

Cable coatings not only enhance fire safety but also provide insurance companies with a reliable means of verifying cable conformity to required standards, contributing to risk mitigation.

Our cable coating can endure cellulosic fires of 750°C for 90 minutes and hydrocarbon fires of 1100°C for 90 minutes.

Our coatings exhibit excellent resistance to weathering and aging, maintaining permanent flexibility to accommodate cable movement and removal.

Testing tabs facilitate thorough examination of coating thickness, ensuring adherence to standards and providing insurance companies verification means.

By forming an intumescent char at the short circuit point, our coating prevents the initiation of a fire and aids in locating the short circuit.

We prioritise excellence in product knowledge, installation techniques, and standards adherence, ensuring superior performance.
