Collie Mural Trail

Working closely with WA state government departments, Tasman Rope Access successfully completed the preparation work and application of the final protective coating on the 8,000sqm Mega Mural at Wellington Dam, Collie.

Assisting artist Guido Van Helten, the Tasman Rope Access team provided rope access support and technical advice over the 4-month period the artist spent completing the mural. Previously, the dam wall had not had any cleaning maintenance for close to 90 years. TRA worked tirelessly to remove decades of build-up on the concrete to bring it to a suitable surface for the artists paint application.

The protective coating was applied with the surrounding waterways and the natural flora and fauna as the highest priority to protect this was achieved by using methods and products that would not have any environmental impact.
